Our team is made up of dedicated education professionals who share a common commitment to supporting students and families. Each team member brings specialized training, hands-on experience, and a deep understanding of both general and special education. Together, we collaborate to provide thoughtful, student-centered guidance, helping families better understand assessments, IEPs, and educational planning so students can reach their full academic potential.

Alex Miranda

School Psychologist, M.S.

Alex holds a Master’s degree in School Psychology and a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential, both earned through National University. My academic training and professional preparation meet California standards for school psychology practice.

 

I bring over 18 years of experience working with both general education students and students with special needs across a wide range of educational settings.

 

This depth of experience allows me to approach each review with a comprehensive understanding of assessment practices, eligibility determination, and the real-world application of special education services.

Robert Wasserman

Licensed Educational Psychologist 

Robert earned a Master’s degree and holds a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential from National University, along with an LEP license. Their academic training and professional credentials meet California standards for educational and school-based services.

 

With 15 years of experience working with students with special needs, Robert has supported students across a variety of educational settings. His work has focused on understanding individual learning profiles, addressing emotional and behavioral needs, and collaborating with families and school teams to support student growth and educational success.

Maria Machado

School Teacher

Maria holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from UCLA and a California Teaching Credential. Throughout her career, she has worked with both general education students and students with special needs, supporting learners across a wide range of academic abilities.

 

Maria has extensive experience participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with school teams to help ensure that students receive appropriate supports and services. She is dedicated to helping students succeed academically by providing thoughtful instruction, encouragement, and individualized support.

 

Her commitment to student growth, combined with her classroom experience and understanding of special education processes, makes her a valuable member of the Almoso Educational Services team.
